Exclusive: Rylan Clark-Neal ‘knows he hasn’t done his last Big Brother’ as he talks bringing the show back.
Rylan Clark-Neal is adamant he hasn’t presented his last Big Brother, following the show’s axing last year. The Big Brother’s Bit On The Side presenter was devastated when the show was cut from Channel 5 in September 2018, and has been desperately trying to get it back on TV. Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Rylan said he was “still battling” to bring the show back.
“I know I’ve not done my last ever Big Brother,” he said. “Whether it’s in a year or two years, I will be fighting tooth, and I’ve got a lot of tooth, and nail to make sure it comes back.” Discussing changes that need to happen in the show, the presenter added: “It just needs cuddling, and needs to be in the right hands and looked after.
“I would change a few things, there would be a lot that I’d change. I’d bring more of a gameplay element into it and I’d maybe get a new… I have to be careful of what I say.
“I’d want to make it a bit more like the Hunger Games. Maybe with a death? No, no one would die.” nHe added that host Emma Willis still loves the show, saying: “With BBBOTS, that was my child.
“It was Emma’s baby before it was mine then she gave it to me. I just miss being there every single day – they were like my family, that lot. It’s hit everyone hard, but I am adamant that it will come back.”
Rylan is also encouraging people to vote for the Virgin Media Must-See Moment award at the British Academy Television Awards, the only award voted for by the public. “I think there has been so many. Obviously the BAFTAs and Virgin Media have managed to whittle it down to this list of six Must-See moments,” Rylan added. “For me personally, I think there are two in there that will be fighting for the title. I think it’s between Bodyguard and Killing Eve. “Get on to Virgin Media, have a look at the must see moments, and make sure you vote, because it’s the only BAFTA that is voted for by the public – so you could dish out a BAFTA.”
