I’m A Celebrity 2018: Dec Donnelly upsets fans with heartbreaking announcement.
I’M A CELEBRITY… GET ME OUT OF HERE! 2018 host Dec Donnelly left fans devastated after making a heartbreaking announcement about the popular ITV show during last night’s show.
The annual staple of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has graced TV screens since 2002, but Dec and Holly Willoughby’s time on the show for 2018 is coming to an end. At the beginning of last night’s episode, Dec revealed the series is already “halfway through”. Dec said: “Hello, good morning and good evening wherever you are!
“Welcome to Australia where our celebrities are exactly halfway through their jungle experience.” Holly then announced how there was now friction in the camp, with Dec ecstatic that the drama had finally started.
Excited for what was to come, Dec pulled a party popper and blew a horn. He cheered: “Yay! I was starting to think we’d never break this lot. “Mind you, they’ve had a good go, but we always get there in the end!” Following his confirmation the series has reached its halfway point, viewers took to social media.
One fan tweeted: “Am I the only one who can’t believe that I’m a celeb is already half way through and nearly finished? Absolutely, definitely not ready for this series to finish #ImACeleb.” “I’m sad that we are already halfway through the show already though,” posted another.
A third wrote: “Halfway through the series.. I don’t know if I can survive not seeing Nick Knowles on TV every night.” It comes as star Nick Knowles gave Harry Redknapp a “hammering” according to bookmakers, and looks set to have lost his chance at taking home the jungle crown.
DIY SOS presenter Nick has now been backed into 5/2 from 5/1 to take the jungle crown according to Betway.
Betway’s Alan Alger told Express.co.uk: “Harry Redknapp looked to have taken a firm grip on the I’m A Celeb betting over the weekend, but Nick Knowles has been the best backed in the last 24 hours and looks a genuine challenger.
“Knowles has gone from being a quietly-fancied 5/1 shot to the gamble of the week at 5/2 and any further support could see him take Harry’s place as favourite for the jungle crown.
“Redknapp remains 10/11 to go all the way but was as short as 4/7 after Sunday night’s show, while Emily Atack heads up the chances of the female campmates at 11/2.” Coronation Street star Sair Khan is now the favourite to leave the reality competition first, with Malique Thompson-Dwyer not too far behind.
Betway’s Alan Alger exclusively told Express.co.uk: “Sair Khan has been the favourite to go first since the opening night of I’m A Celeb and she remains a firm 11/8 favourite to leave camp. “It wouldn’t be a total shock to see her hang in there a bit longer though, as a few bets have landed on Malique Thompson-Dwyer this week and he’s next in the elimination betting at just 9/4.”
