I’m a Celebrity 2018: Anne Hegerty, Harry Redknapp and Sair Khan ‘CONFIRMED’ for line-up
I’M A CELEBRITY GET ME OUT OF HERE! line up rumours have been doing the rounds for months and fans have eagerly been anticipating who will take on the challenges down under.
But now it could be that several famous faces have been confirmed to be participating in the upcoming series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.
The ITV competition is not for the faint hearted, and it seems that The Chase star Anne Hegerty, Coronation Street star Sair Khan and football manager Harry Redknapp will be taking it on.
The celebrities will be joining the jungle live up when the show returns to screens, according to The Mirror.
The publication reports that the trio will be heading to Australia when the programme kicks off in November.
A source said of Harry joining the show: “Harry is never anything less than good value. He’s had a long, interesting career and knows a lot of famous people.
“He’ll be fun to watch.” A spokesperson for ITV said any suggested names are speculation.
Another name tipped to be going in is DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles. The presenter teased last month on ITV show Lorraine that he would “never say never” to appearing. He told Lorraine Kelly: “I actually think it would be quite fun to do.
“I’d rock the hat,” Nick added in response to a mocked-up photo of him in the camp gear.
He continued: “I think the trials would be fun.
“I’ve always said that I wouldn’t do it, but who knows? I’ve got a little boy Eddie to look after.
“Never say never, but I do get get asked every year.”
Also, Hollyoaks actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer dropped a big hint when he remained very coy when probed about his potential involvement on the show by Richard Arnold earlier this week. Meanwhile, there will be a change in presenters for this series as Holly Willoughby is taking on Ant McPartlin’s duties.
While the competition has been hosted by Ant and regular co-presenter Declan Donnelly since its inception, Holly is taking over. Following a conviction for a drink driving offence, Ant stepped down from all his TV commitments for the rest of 2019 to focus on his recovery.
In a statement, Holly said: “I love Ant and want to send him my best wishes and support for a continued recovery.
“These are big shoes, not to fill, but just to keep warm for a little bit.
“I couldn’t be more excited to have been asked to stand alongside Dec for the next jungle adventure.”
