TOWIE original to make sensational comeback.
Lauren Goodger has confirmed she will be returning to the Essex-based reality series this year. The TOWIE cast has undergone a massive shake-up recently, with bosses culling “boring” cast members.
Amber Dowding, Chris Clark and Mike Hassini are just some of the Essex dwellers who will not be returning for the next series. Lauren made the surprising announcement she would be returning to TOWIE on Twitter when a fan urged her to come back to the show.
“I’ll be back about this year,” Lauren tweeted in response. Teasing her return to the ITV show even more, Lauren informed her 1.35 million Twitter followers that she was heading to London for some important “meetings”.
The 31-year-old’s fans rejoiced at the prospect of Lauren coming back to reality TV. Lauren was an original cast member on the show, joining the series when it first began in 2010. She’s best known for her tumultuous on/off relationship with then-boyfriend Mark Wright.
The Essex power couple met when they were teens and even got engaged on the show. She left in 2012 after their final split, and appeared on Dancing On Ice the following year, as well as Celebrity Big Brother. Lauren then returned four years later to give Megan McKenna some advice on her doomed relationship with Pete Wicks.
